ETHIOPIAN ADOPTION PROGRAM
 We are a non-profit, 501(c)3, Washington state licensed adoption agency. We do not have a license with the government in Ethiopia to process adoptions, however, we have established a partnership with Children's House International who is licensed, responsible, authorized and recognized by the Ethiopian government to process adoptions in Ethiopia. Children's House International supervises the entire adoption process of your case from here to Ethiopia. They represent your case in Ethiopia through CHI staff.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO ADOPT?
• Heterosexual couples (with or without children) who have been
married at least 3 years
• Those who have good medical insurance that will immediately
cover your child once he/she is adopted
• Families who have sufficient income
• Couples with a strong marriage and low divorce history
• Not more than 45 years older than the youngest child you adopt
• No history of criminal activity or incidence of child abuse

Our focus and support services appeal to a very narrow segment of the population - those who have a strong Christian faith. Our domestic adoption program can attest to the fact that when you adopt through our agency you become family forever. You will be one of a handful of families we work with at any one time.

director to get answers to your questions.
• Our humanitarian programs are clearly outlined and our ongoing
vision will be shared with you frequently.

individually and communicate with them often.
• You will receive thoughtful, personalized and professional

TIME FRAME
• One to four months for a referral - after approval of your dossier. Infant girls take longer. Please consider adopting siblings, older children and boys - there is such a great need.
• Two to four months after a referral is accepted before you will be asked to travel to pick up your child/children.
**These time frames are an estimate only. Wait times vary widely in Ethiopia and delays are common.
